Stunning Sunrise Elopement in Glacier National Park

A 3am wake-up, a 2-hour drive in the dark, 1 epic sunrise.

That pretty much sums up this magical morning in Glacier National Park. When we arrived at the parking lot and as the sky began to slowly lighten, our hopes for a sunrise dwindled as thick clouds formed overhead, threatening to rain. While we felt a few drops here and there, the rain we had started to anticipate never arrived. Instead, the clouds in the far distances started lighting up with a soft pink hue. By the time we walked over to our spot, the entire sky was ablaze in a myriad of stunning colors - yellows, oranges, reds and purples… a sunrise I have never seen before. It was epic, and all-consuming.

What an introduction to Glacier National Park, and what a way to start an elopement day! I’ll let the photos do the talking because no words can truly describe the magic that was this morning. :’)
