FAQ

  • Let’s switch out the word ‘elopement’ to ‘wedding’, and then ask ourselves the same question. I firmly believe that your wedding day should be experienced and documented to its fullest, and it is for this reason that I do have a minimum coverage of 6 hours. I would love to stop perpetuating the myth that elopements deserve less coverage because of their smaller nature, because that is shortchanging you and the potential experience you can have on your day. If you are unsure what to do for six hours or more, I’ve got you covered! I have a ton of ideas on how to make the most of your day and to maximize your experience of your wedding day.

If you still just want pretty photos in your wedding attire, let’s talk about a day-before or day-after adventure session instead!

  • Says everyone ever!! The main thing to note when we’re working together is that I do not expect you to be professional models (even if you actually are professional models), nor should you feel the pressure to act like one! You are real people with a real relationship, and I am here to document that relationship you’ve built - how you hold hands, how you hug, how you run your fingers through each other’s hair, or kiss the spot behind your partner’s ear. I’m here to listen to your story, and to tell it authentically. All YOU have to do is look into each other’s eyes, tell your partner how much you love them, how important they are to you, and how excited you are to begin this adventure together. When your focus is on each other rather than on the camera, the entire experience becomes so much more fun, and trust me — your photos will show that! I’ll be here to prompt and guide you along, so you never feel like you’re left hanging.

  • Actually, I do! I am currently taking on a very limited number of larger traditional weddings (> 30 guests), although priority will be given to couples who are seeking smaller, more intimate days. That said, if you are planning to have a larger traditional wedding, I will still give it all the attention it deserves and I would love to chat more with you about it!

  • Heck yes! I consider it part of my job to location scout and find epic spots for photos, and for YOU to experience. Whether you need a location for your elopement or an engagement shoot, I’ve got you covered. As part of my process, I send over a questionnaire to get to know the two of you better and find out what sort of scenery you like — Mountains? Beaches? Desert? Open meadows? Lakes? That way, I can narrow down a list of location options for you to choose from and we can go from there!

  • 100% YES!! All of my elopement packages include travel so there are no additional travel fees involved. The only additional travel fees that MIGHT be involved are if you decide to take a boat to an off-shore island, or a helicopter to the top of a mountain, or go on a 4x4 off-road adventure… you get the idea.

Smaller engagement shoots are a little different, so definitely ask me if you’re interested in booking an engagement shoot with me! Typically, travel fees for engagement sessions will include gas if the location exceeds 40 miles of Studio City, CA… and accommodations if it’s a location that is too far to get to in a day — if you have a location in mind but aren’t sure if there might be any additional travel fees, feel free to reach out and I’ll be happy to provide you with a custom quote! :)

  • I have a whole back-up system in place to ensure that your photos are 100% safe and protected! It starts with me writing to two separate memory cards on my cameras when shooting, so that in the unlikely event that one card corrupts, there is still a second copy of your photos. When I get back home, the first thing I do (before even getting into the shower!) is to upload all of your photos, write them to an external hard drive, and back them up to a SECOND external hard drive that gets stored in a fire-proof safe — if you’re keeping count, we now have 4 separate copies of your photos. And because that’s not enough, I create a 5th copy of your photos by backing everything up to the cloud. Barring any natural disasters or freak accidents, your photos should be safe until they are delivered to you. I keep all backup copies of your photos for a year after your event, although I strongly encourage you to download and create backups of your photos after delivery as well!

Thanks for reaching out!!
